Let’s Go

Glancing at the listings in Party Finder for the evening I spotted “LA Nightclub”. Now, I had been to a few clubs in Los Angeles before, and let’s just say those experiences left much to be desired. Nonetheless, my interest was piqued! I asked my friend Dacien to tag along for the evening since venue hopping is always fun with company.

Were we about to experience the epitome of Hollywood nightlife in Eorzea or something else?

Well, it turns out LA stands for Lost Aether and not Los Angeles. There were no long lines to use the bathroom nor were there bouncers yelling at us for not meeting the dress code. Instead, we found a beautifully designed venue. Here’s how it went.

We were met with a sleek modern design comprised of black wood, glass, white accents, and crystal walls. This theme started in the lobby and continued throughout the main space.

I was greeted by Rukya who gave me some information regarding the venue. She was located in a convenient location that overlooked the main floor, bar, VIP section, and stage. She was polite and informative! I later learned that Rukya is one of the co-owners of LA Nightclub. The main floor is spacious with crystal and marble filling the room along with a well-designed bar off to the side. Bastas, one of two bartenders on-site at the time, greeted Dacien and me and offered us the drink menu.

The Website

The Carrd was organized quite well and I didn't feel lost navigating its menus. Everything had its place and I could learn more about the staff and what else the club offered in terms of amenities.

One of the main things to think about when you design your venue’s website is how easy it is to access information. Lost Aether did a great job here.

Typically when I go out, the first thing I want is something to drink. The options here are reasonably priced with items starting at 5k and working their way up to some unique offerings and higher-priced items. More on that in the next section.

The Drinks

When menus have varying prices for drinks that start lower and go up to the 15k+ side of things, I always wonder if anything “interesting” happens with those higher-priced items.

Will I get to /random 20?

Will someone take my tomestone from my back pocket when I’m not looking?

At LA Nightclub those drinks are actually paired with a nice and engaging RP experience with your bartender. I loved the emotes used and the conversation that went along with what we ordered.

I had an LA Special and assisted a friend with their UwU. Yes, I said UwU. A flight of shots representing the elements of 4 different primals. Genius! While the flight is more expensive, our bartender delivered on their part of the experience. I felt like I was at an actual bar and got to chat with someone who genuinely wanted to get to know their patrons. I can't speak to how efficiently this is done when the venue is busy as there were roughly 10-15 people there at any given time. Next time I visit, I’m going to try their “WARRIOR OF LIGHT CHALLENGE”!

Nordic Spa

Rest & Relaxation

Bastas mentioned there was a spa and I knew I had to give it a look before I left. After a full week of DJing, it was exactly what I needed! Dacien and I entered the space and honestly, I was speechless. It was the kind of place I’d want to visit in the real world. Warm, inviting, and soothing. The ocean waves and forest orchestrion rolls were a nice touch that added to the ambiance. I later learned that this room was designed by Rukya who also worked on the main floor with Punky as well. I will definitely come back for this spa alone!

About the Owners

After my visit, I thought about all the places I had been to before. Many of them brought me joy when I needed it the most. Something had suddenly clicked for me and the idea for this blog came to mind.

After contacting the owners of LA Nightclub about my idea, they were completely onboard. I met with Rukya who gave me a detailed tour of the venue and a lovely interview that followed.

LA Nightclub is co-owned by Punky and Rukya and was established sometime before 2019. As a team, they designed and built the main floor as well as some of the themed rooms in the space. Members of the FC also had a hand in creating a few spaces as well so be sure to check out the Tarot room, Casino, and other offerings!

Through our interview, I learned that we both have mutual respect for those that work in the service industry. Punky and Rukya will continue to provide a fun and welcoming space to all.
